We were resting on our bed when we here an almighty 'pop' and all the lights in town go out. Generators kick in and our hotel has power, but the town is in darkness.
Not to be deterred, we walk a short distance to a cafe called 'Little Menu'. The staff are lovely and explain all about their food... And the food is lovely too.
We have crispy duck spring rolls, followed by Bun bo Nam bo and Mi Quang Ga. The garlic they use is very tasty.
This is also my first taste of a local beer called Biere Larue. It's good.
