Saigon airport is nice, light and airy.
No one in the check in queue.

We looked around the shops, the have one last bowl of Pho.

5 Sept. Last day. Cuppa tea.

We stop in a Highlands for a cuppa. The view is grand, Rex Hotel and the Opera House.
They're building an underground subway in Saigon.

5 Sept. Last day in Saigon. Banh mi.

We walk some more. I have a banh mi for 15,000 VND, about 70 cents.

We walk up one street that turns into a local market.

5 Sept. Last stroll before we go.

We head off for a little stroll but quickly get caught in the rain.
We stop at Eugene Cakes for cake and coffee, and watch the rain pour down.

5 Sept. Last buffet breakfast at Liberty Central.

Time to go home now.
We have our last breakfast.

4 Sept. Kimi on his bike. Farewell drinks.

We walk to Kimi's hotel and he shows us his bike.
We stroll up to a typical 'che' cafe for sweet drinks.
I have a 'che ba mau' which is the usual 'three color drink'.

4 Sept. Farewell dinner with Kimi and Nga at Truyen Ky.

Kimi and Nga come to collect us and we drive to district 10. We go to a local restaurant down an alley and up the stairs.
Kimi orders.
We have a most delicious chicken, stuffed tofu, watercress soup, sweet and sour pork and deep fried crispy intestine. It was all lovely and tasty.
Our last dinner in Vietnam.

4 Sept. Shopping. Shoe repair.

We shop a bit more.
Fruit juice in Fresco.
Laura buys a basket at Mekong Quilts.
I have my sandal repaired for 20,000 VND.

4 Sept. Prayer for Ted Fanning. Old furniture store.

We walk up to the cathedral and take a minutes silence for Ted Fanning.

Laura finds an old furniture store with a seemingly deserted pigeon roost.
