2 September is Independence Day in Vietnam. Just as we return to our hotel, the fireworks go off.

We're finally in HCM city (Saigon) after a two hour delay on our flight.
The Liberty Central is a lovely hotel in the heart of District 1. We're on the 10th floor with a fantastic view, straight across to the Bitexco Tower.
Night has fallen and the city lights are all coming on.
