1 Sept. Mekong Delta tour. Vinh Long

We head to Vinh Long, back in the car and head home. It's been a good day.
That bridge was built and donated by Australia.

The brick and pot factory.
They use rice bran as fuel for the kilns.

We cruise along a very straight canal that was man made, and head to a brick and pot factory.

We stop for lunch just a short distance up a small canal.
Elephant ear fish, spring rolls, soup and pork.

1 Sept. Mekong Delta tour. The storm.

We buy snacks.
Back in the boat and we head across the main branch of the Mekong and into the mouth of a storm. The wind howls and the rain lashes down.
It's so bad we have to pull over and tie up to a tree on the edge of the river for a while.
